FLOODIT 2

WASTEYOURSELF & GRINGO RECORDS PRESENTS:
Floodit - An evening of live music & screen printing at The Art Organisation with:
Live Music from:
SOE'ZA - www.myspace.com/soeza
Soeza are strung out between Bristol and various points on the M4 corridor. The have a soulful, danceable sound made up of male / female vocals and French Horn over two drummers, jazzy bass and guitar. They wouldn't go amiss on Dischord, but call Gringo their home and recently released a new album called “7 Obstacles”.
THE WAILINGEST CATS - www.myspace.com/thewailingestcats
The Wailingest Cats are a well dressed, dapper, devilish Bristol Pop Group if ever there was one. A cinematic shake down of rockin' ramshackle, doom-jazz hell-bebop. Hard, angular guitars, hip rhythms, crushing keys, muscular bass and sax are deployed with beautific decorum. Howl.
SPIN SPIN THE DOGS - www.myspace.com/spinspinthedogs
Four handsome boys playing a Contortions, Jesus Lizard, Gang of Four, Monorchid kinda jerkiness albeit stripped of any macho connotations but yet still absolutely rocking. New 12” out on Gringo soon!
DJ Peter Parker aka Parkatron (www.fingathing.com)
Live Screen Print from:
WASTE - http://www.wasteyourself.com
PHIL BLAKE - http://www.myspace.com/phillie_b
NICK CHAFFE - http://www.nikoartwork.com/
MARTHA GLAZARD - http://marthaglazzard.blogspot.com/
RIKKI MARR - http://www.gettinhectic.com/
MICHELLE WOOD - http://www.michelleewood.blogspot.com
8pm - midnight
£4 / £3 (students/oaps/unwaged)
There will be a licensed bar but bring your own garments to screen on to and we'll print some sweet Floodit and Gringo graphics on them for only £5!
Supported by Spinsters Emporium & I Dress Myself

This week I have moved into a new studio space.
It's just me at the moment and I'm in the process of moving in and setting all my stuff up this week and next week.
You can now come and visit me at 21 Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3AJ, right next to the train station.

My new studio space...
before...

ripping up old carpets.
chipping away the odd cement underneath.
getting the windows to open.
making everywhere nice.

'the kiln room' at the minute...

Me and Kath Crook- http://www.kathcrook.blogspot.com - have moved into two shared spaces at Tether studios, Huntingdon Street, Nottingham. One room will be the work room, one will be the kiln room...
We are currently in the process of making the space workable and suitable for ceramics (and making it look pretty).
Very exciting.. I can't wait to make some new stuff!
